To prevent wandering behavior and missing persons due to dementia, which has become a social issue, we have developed a GPS Walk in collaboration with NTT Docomo that can incorporate GPS devices. A small GPS device is embedded in the sole of the shoe, allowing for easy location tracking of the individual and monitoring of wandering behavior. Initially, the shoes could only incorporate GPS devices manufactured by NTT Docomo, but after several improvements and generalization, we are currently conducting demonstration experiments with the Mamoru GPS, which allows for battery replacement, as well as other GPS devices. OEM support is also available, and we can collaborate with device development companies to propose and manufacture ways to integrate the devices.
